S.A.R.J. 1.2 Readme file
========================

Thanks for downloading and trying SARJ, the tool for Soldat Administration Remotely in Java. SARJ has been designed as an easy to use, cross-platform alternative to the Remote Admin program distributed with the Soldat Dedicated server. I always welcome any user feedback or details of bugs found in my software, so please feel free to email me at the address below.

Changes for v1.2
----------------
* Added 'time limit' and 'time left' fields to server information
* New integrated scripting engine with JavaScript (EcmaScript) interpreter allows programmed, automated control of the SARJ client.
* New 'script buttons' allow buttons to be linked to run a script when clicked
* Added scripting events, linkable to script files to be executed
* Added timed script support to allow scripts to run at certain times or after certain intervals
* Added log console for messages. Use ALT+S to hide/show log console
* Added optimisations to make SARJ a lot less CPU intensive

Installation notes
------------------
Before attempting to install SARJ, first ensure that you have a recent version of Sun's JVM (Java Virtual Machine) installed. You can download versions for most operating systems including Windows, Linux, MacOS and FreeBSD free from http://www.java.com/en/download

NOTE: It seems as if you now need at least version 1.5 of Java to be able to run SARJ

Running SARJ
------------
To run SARJ from Windows, simply double-click sarj.jar and it will run automatically. Alternatively you can run start.bat. If you are using Linux, you will need to issue the following command from a console:

javaw -jar sarj.jar
